The Coliseum

The Coliseum

This is a view of the Coliseum that isn't seen that often. You can see that two of the outer walls are missing. The Romans tended to recycle their antiquities. Tons of marble were removed from the Coliseum and other monuments to build The Vatican City. During World War II, Muss0lini's war machine removed all the iron supports to recycle them into weapons.

This painting was a gift to a friend.

Vaci Utca

VĂ¡ci utca is the main pedestrian thoroughfare through the Pest side of Budapest. It is perhaps the most famous street in Budapest, featuring a large number of restaurants and shops catering primarily to the tourist market. This is a typical signpost on a corner of the street.
